How to boost your results

Look at fibre intake

Increasing specific elements including beans, pulses, legumes, oats, ground flaxseed, chia seeds, and root vegetables help our body excrete many of the waste products that can disturb heart health. Try to consume at least one of these every day.

Balance dietary fats

Fats do not cause cholesterol problems, but an excess of saturated : unsaturated fats will impact our inflammatory state and therefore our cardiac wellbeing. Limit fatty meats, butter, ghee, hard cheese, and coconut products to 1-2 times a week. Focus on olives, nuts, seeds, avocado, olive oil and small oily fish as your healthy daily fat inclusions. Processed foods and trans fats should be avoided totally.

Move more

Especially after meals. Regular, sustained physical activity makes the body more efficient as a whole but we also need to be aware of actively working our cardiovascular system to maintain good function. Work towards being able to sustain a level of medium exertion for about 150 minutes per week.
